Applicants for Kindergarten

Original birth certificates are required! The original birth certificate must be provided when submitting application form (child must be 5 years old by December 2010). We will photocopy the original birth certificate and return it to you immediately. If your child has attended preschool, the Teacher Recommendation Form must be received prior to assessment. If the child is Catholic, we must have a copy of the Baptismal Certificate.

Kindergarten assessment will take approximately 45 minutes. Materials covered include: identification of colors, numbers and letters out of sequence (not reciting the alphabet), matching, vocabulary, printing his/her first name, and more. Each child will be assessed by a trained teacher and following the assessment there will be a short play period to assess overal social skills.

The Application and Assessment Reservation Form must be completed in full and returned with a non-refundable assessment fee of $30.00.

Applicants for Grades 1-7

Your child’s most recent report card and that of the previous year must be attached. The Teacher Recommendation Form must be received prior to assessment. If the child is Catholic, we must have a copy of the Baptismal Certificate. We urge you to do this as soon as possible, since there are always limited spaces and a large number of applicants.

The assessment sessions for Grades 1-7 are approximately 45-60 minutes.

Upon receipt of your completed application form, your child will be scheduled for his/her assessment date. Please note this date on your calendar as this will be the only notification of your child’s appointment.
